Anna Maria Manalo as Music Mentor

Anna Maria Manalo, M.A. has been teaching students ages 5-80 since 1986 (actually earlier since she started teaching her sisters), in private studios throughout the East Coast and Midwest; classrooms in New York (Columbia Preparatory, Harbor Center for the Performing Arts, Hunter College); and recently – virtually. She has created (and implemented) Studio Seminars for Adults, Summer Strings Camp, and Chamber Music Workshops for youth and adults. Anna Maria founded and directed the first strings ensemble, mixed with traditional Philippines instruments, at the Aquinas High School in the Bronx. She also created and taught a composition/improvisation class for the Harbor Conservatory for Performing Arts in Harlem, NY. At the Braille Tone Music Society of Canada, she mentored students of all exceptionalities to present at recitals and conferences. She currently teaches privately in NYC, has a roster with the Maestro Music Institute of CO, and is a Mentor of Arts for the MAST (Math, Arts, Sciences, Technology) Program at UT-RGV.
